The League of Friendship

Dynasty Fantasy Football
OFFICIAL LEAGUE CHARTER
14 Teams · Superflex · IDP · Dynasty
Hosted on Sleeper
Established [YEAR] · Governing the 2026 Season Forward
Commissioner: Paul · Charter v1.0

Preamble

We, the managers of the League of Friendship, establish this Charter to govern our dynasty in the spirit that gives the league its name: we compete fiercely, and we win together. Money will be wagered and championships will be won, but friendship is the franchise. This Charter is the law of the league; where it is silent, the Commissioner and the Competition Committee shall rule in its spirit.

Article ILeague Identity

1.1Name & Platform. The league is the “League of Friendship,” a dynasty fantasy football league hosted on Sleeper (League ID 1302933004313710592).
1.2Format. Fourteen (14) teams, Superflex, with Individual Defensive Players (IDP). Rosters carry over from season to season in perpetuity.
1.3Mission. To be fun, competitive, and enduring — with friendship valued above any single season or sum of money.
1.4Founding. Established [YEAR]. This Charter governs from the 2026 season forward.

Article IIMembership, Dues & Finances

2.1Buy-in. One hundred fifty dollars ($150) per manager, per season, due in full before kickoff of Week 1.
2.2Custody of the Purse. The Commissioner holds the league purse. The League of Friendship is built on trust; the Commissioner shall keep an honest and readily available accounting of all league funds.
2.3Non-payment. A manager who has not paid by Week 1 lineup lock shall have lineups and league-parlay participation locked. A manager still unpaid by Week 3 is expelled from the league.
2.4League Treasury. Ten percent (10%) of the prize pot is retained by the league treasury for league expenses — the league party, paid cameos, trophies, and the like. [Confirm: this is a single 10% league cut, the same referenced in Article 3.5.]

Article IIIThe League Parlay & Prize Pot

The real-money engine of the league. Distinct from the in-app FAAB Parlay Book of Article XIII.

3.1The Weekly League Parlay. Each week of the 14-week fantasy regular season, the league places one (1) real-money parlay ticket of one hundred dollars ($100), staked from the league purse.
3.2Chief Ticket Officer. A designated Chief Ticket Officer administers the weekly ticket. He solicits leg suggestions from all managers in the group chat; the legs of each parlay are decided collectively by the membership.
3.3Winnings. All parlay winnings flow directly into the league purse.
3.4Friendship Cash (the balloon-deflater). Whenever the league purse reaches or exceeds fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000), each manager is immediately paid a guaranteed one thousand dollar ($1,000) “Friendship Cash” bonus, and the prize pot resets to $1,000 and continues to grow from the remaining weekly parlays. This safeguard may trigger more than once in a season. Its purpose is stated plainly: we win together, and no sum shall be permitted to grow large enough to turn friends into rivals for money.
3.5Season Prize Pot Split. At season's end the prize pot is divided seventy percent (70%) to the League Champion (playoff winner), twenty percent (20%) to the manager holding the highest FAAB balance at the end of the fantasy regular season, and ten percent (10%) to the league treasury. This split may be revisited by the Competition Committee at its offseason summit after Year One.
3.6Transparency. The league purse and every weekly parlay result shall be recorded for all managers to see in the league's Parlay Tracker. (Tracking feature to be added to the existing app.)

Article IVGovernance

4.1Commissioner. Paul serves as sole Commissioner, responsible for league administration, rulings, custody of funds, and settlement of the Parlay Book on behalf of the House.
4.2Competition Committee. A four-member Competition Committee (“the Council”), together with the Commissioner, forms a five-seat governing body charged with league engagement, competitiveness, and fun.
4.3Elections. The four Committee chairs are elected each offseason. Managers campaign for a seat on the platform of the rule changes they wish to enact.
4.4Checks & Balances. The Competition Committee is the check upon the Commissioner. In any dispute involving the Commissioner, the Committee adjudicates.
4.5Rule Amendments. Rule changes are proposed by the Competition Committee during the offseason and adopted by a majority vote of the five-seat body (three of five). The Charter is otherwise fixed during the season.

Article VRosters, Lineups & Player Control

5.1Starting Lineup. Thirteen (13) starters: QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, FLEX, SUPERFLEX, K, DL, LB, DB, IDP_FLEX. See Appendix A.
5.2Bench & Reserve. Eleven (11) bench slots, four (4) IR slots, and six (6) taxi-squad slots.
5.3Full-Lineup Requirement. Every manager must field a complete, valid starting lineup every week. If injuries or byes leave a hole, the manager is obligated to acquire replacements via waivers or trade. Roster management is the manager's job.
5.4Incomplete-Lineup Penalty. A manager who fails to field a complete lineup is fined [___] FAAB for the offense. Repeated or willful offenses are referred to the Competition Committee and may escalate, up to and including expulsion. [Confirm the FAAB fine amount.]
5.5Taxi Squad. The taxi squad is for developing players. A player may remain on taxi through his third (3rd) year; once activated off taxi, a player may never return to it. Taxi deadline: Week 4.

Article VIScoring

6.1Scoring System. Scoring is full-PPR with premium bonuses (first downs, completions, and big plays) and full IDP scoring, as configured on Sleeper. The scoring table at Appendix B is provided for reference; the live Sleeper settings are authoritative.

Article VIISeason Structure

7.1Regular Season. Fourteen (14) weeks.
7.2Median Match. The league plays the median: each week a manager records a result against their head-to-head opponent and a second result against the league median score. Both count toward the standings.
7.3Playoffs. The top seven (7) of fourteen teams qualify; playoffs begin Week 15. Seeding ties are broken by overall record (including median results), then by total points-for. [Confirm tiebreakers.]
7.4Consolation. Non-playoff teams compete in the loser's bracket (“toilet bowl”), the result of which feeds the draft lottery of Article X.

Article VIIIWaivers & FAAB

8.1FAAB Budget. One thousand dollars ($1,000) of FAAB per manager. As a dynasty league, FAAB does not reset between seasons — every FAAB dollar carries lasting value.
8.2Bidding. One dollar ($1) minimum bid; waivers process on the league's set day (Tuesdays).
8.3FAAB Is Currency. FAAB may be traded between managers and is fully fungible: a FAAB dollar won in the Parlay Book, wagered, or earned on waivers is identical for all league purposes.

Article IXTrades

9.1Deadline. Week 13.
9.2Veto. Only the Commissioner may veto a trade, and only for egregious, open cheating. Before any veto, the Commissioner holds a hearing with the trading parties to hear their justification.
9.3Collusion. Suspected collusion results in expulsion — without refund and without the right to return. This is a league of friendship; the betrayal of it is the one unforgivable act.
9.4Future Picks. Trading a future rookie pick requires the trading manager to pay, in advance, the league dues for the season(s) of the pick(s) traded.
9.5FAAB in Trades. FAAB may be included in any trade (see Article 8.3).

Article XRookie Draft & Draft Capital

10.1Format. The rookie draft is four (4) rounds, conducted live and slow, with a twenty-four (24) hour clock per pick.
10.2Pick Trading. Draft picks, including future picks (subject to 9.4), are tradeable.
10.3Draft Lottery. Draft order among the non-playoff teams is set by a weighted lottery. The team with the lowest maximum points-for holds the greatest odds, followed by the winner of the loser's-bracket (“toilet bowl”), with the remaining non-playoff teams weighted thereafter. The lottery is weighted (not a straight order) to discourage tanking while still rewarding genuine misfortune. Exact odds weights to be finalized by the Competition Committee.

Article XICompetitive Integrity & Conduct

11.1Anti-Tanking. The league's sole structural anti-tank rule is the full-lineup requirement of 5.3. Managers must always field their best available complete lineup, making whatever roster moves are necessary.
11.2Collusion. Collusion is not exhaustively defined — we know it when we see it. The Commissioner, with the Competition Committee as check, deals with it in kind (see 9.3).
11.3Spirit of Competition. Managers are expected to compete honestly and to keep the league fun for everyone.

Article XIIFranchise Continuity

12.1Orphan Teams. Abandoned franchises are reassigned to managers from the league waitlist. Depending on the condition of the orphan and whether dues were prepaid (e.g., via traded picks under 9.4), an incoming manager's fees may be waived.
12.2Expansion & Contraction. The league may expand (e.g., to 16 teams) or contract (e.g., to 12) in the future; such changes are handled by the Commissioner and Committee as needed.

Article XIIIThe Parlay Book (In-App FAAB Sportsbook)

13.1The Book. The league operates an in-house FAAB sportsbook (“the Parlay Book”) on weekly matchups and player props. Participation is optional but is an integral part of the league experience.
13.2The House. The House is the House — a neutral league entity, not the Commissioner personally. The Commissioner administers the House's settlements and payouts but does not personally profit as the House.
13.3Transparent Ledger. All bets, lines, and settlements are recorded in a ledger visible to the membership.
13.4Integrity. A manager may wager only on their own team to win — never against themselves. Lines lock at kickoff and may not be edited thereafter.
13.5Currency & Stakes. All wagers and winnings are in FAAB, which remains fully fungible (8.3). Because the highest end-of-regular-season FAAB balance wins 20% of the prize pot (3.5), every FAAB wagered or spent is weighed against that prize — bet wisely.

Article XIVTraditions & Punishments

14.1Last-Place Punishment. Three (3) candidate punishments for the last-place finisher are nominated and voted upon by the trade deadline (Week 13). Upon coronation, the League Champion selects which of the three is carried out.
14.2Further Traditions. The league may adopt additional traditions, weekly awards, and trophies by Committee vote.

Article XVRatification & Amendment

15.1Ratification. This Charter takes effect upon ratification by a majority of the league's managers and governs from the 2026 season.
15.2Amendment. The Charter is amended only per Article 4.5 — proposed by the Competition Committee in the offseason and adopted by a majority vote of the five-seat body.
15.3Supremacy & Gaps. Where this Charter is silent, the Commissioner and Competition Committee rule in its spirit. The live Sleeper settings govern all mechanical scoring and transactions.
15.4Version. Charter v1.0.
